Alloy Steel Welding
- Common elements that are added to make alloy steel are molybdenum, manganese, nickel, silicon, boron, chromium, and vanadium. Alloy steel is often subdivided into two groups: high alloy steels and low alloy steels.
- Tools and parts exposed to extreme friction are often made from these alloys. steel made with molybdenum have other advantages as well. Molybdenum steel is highly resistant to corrosion and is used in stainless steel alloys for greater protection.
